What a Day.......
On Sunday April 16th 2023, DiVibe put on their first, huge charity event to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK. An Afternoon Tea like no other. Over 200 people enjoyed listening to a wonderful performance by Top Hats singing group, taking part in the biggest DiVibe session yet! An auction of a Brighton and Hove Albion FC signed shirt....of all the players, which raised a whopping £1000!! A raffle which consisted of some of the best and local businesses...such as The Grand Brighton, One Garden, Bird & Blend Tea, Brighton Museums and Fitz Wines (a whole crate of beautiful sparkling wine!) donating the most fabulous prizes. The afternoon was rounded up by a lovely talk by our Guest Speaker and Ambassador for ARUK, Scott Mitchell. We were totally honoured to have Scott come and share his story of his and his wife's journey through her diagnosis and passing of the disease. You couldn't hear a pin drop in the room! How lovely it was that many people in the room got to chat to Scott and share their own personal journeys with him. Our MC for the day, Executive TV Producer and Channel Controller, Richard Woolfe, pulled the whole thing together on the day with with and charm and was just totally fantastic!! A massive £5273.20 was raised on the day!!! Every penny went to ARUK to further research a cure for this horrible disease.
As it was such a success, we will be repeating the event in 2024 in a brand new venue!! Watch this space for further details!
